Why a Russian card does not go through
Kling AI is developed by the Chinese company Kuaishou, but the international version of the service sells subscriptions through foreign payment systems. They do not process cards from Russian banks, including Mir.
Trying to pay with a VPN does not help: a VPN changes your IP address, but the payment system looks at the country where the card was issued. A general breakdown of all the methods is in the article on how to pay for AI services from Russia.
Kling AI plans
A guide based on data as of autumn 2026:
| Plan | Approximate price per month | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | free | daily credits, watermark |
| Standard | ~9 $ (first month cheaper) | ~660 |
| Pro | ~33 $ | ~3000 |
| Premier | ~81 $ | ~8000 |
| Ultra | ~160 $ | ~26 000 |
Prices differ noticeably between sources and regions. Check your own price on the official site. This is not a public offer.
What to pay attention to:
- A discounted first month. New subscribers pay less; from the second month the regular price is charged.
- Subscription credits expire at the end of the billing period.
- The free plan has a watermark and limits on length and quality. Not suitable for publishing or commercial use.
Method 1. A foreign card
A card from a foreign bank or a virtual card from a foreign service, issued to you.
Pros: direct payment, the account is yours alone, the subscription is easy to cancel.
Cons: the card has to be obtained and topped up, and you lose on conversion with every top-up. Many virtual cards require foreign documents or an account.
Method 2. An intermediary service
You pay the intermediary in rubles via the Faster Payments System, by card or in cryptocurrency, and it pays for the subscription.
Pros: fast, you only need a Russian card.
Cons:
- overpayment: commission plus the intermediary’s internal exchange rate;
- you often need to hand over your account login and password;
- getting your money back if something goes wrong is hard.
How not to lose money:
- do not buy a ready-made account belonging to someone else: it can be blocked or taken back;
- change your password right after payment;
- check reviews of the intermediary somewhere other than its own site;
- compare the total in the intermediary’s calculator with today’s central bank rate: the difference is your overpayment.
Method 3. Kling through a Russian aggregator
The Kling model can be used not only on Kuaishou’s site. Russian aggregators connect it through the official API, and the generation quality is the same, because the same model is at work.
Pros: rubles with a Russian card, no VPN, no subscription or intermediary, and other models nearby (Seedance, Veo) to compare the result on.
Cons: the Kling site’s own features (its effects, templates, community feed) may not be available in an aggregator.
What the model itself can do and when to choose it: Kling v3 review.
Which method to choose
- You generate every day and need Kling’s own features → a subscription on the official site with a foreign card.
- You need a subscription once and have no card → an intermediary, but without handing over your password, or change it right after payment.
- You generate irregularly → an aggregator with pay-per-generation: no expired credits.
In short
Kling AI cannot be paid with a Russian card, and a VPN does not help. What works is a foreign card in your own name, an intermediary with a markup, or a Russian aggregator where the Kling models are available for rubles without a subscription. Before buying a subscription, keep in mind that the first month is cheaper than the regular price and that credits expire at the end of the period.
