What Kling is
Kling is a line of video models from Kuaishou, a Chinese competitor to TikTok. Its character in a nutshell: Kling is about the camera and about people. The model is especially good at expressive camera movement (orbits, tracking shots, dynamic push-ins) and handles human figures and faces confidently.
It works from text and from images.
The main advantage over Seedance
One difference deserves its own section because it decides the choice in many tasks.
The flagship Seedance 2.0 does not work with real faces: a real person’s photo triggers the filter. Kling works with real people normally.
That makes Kling the working choice wherever Seedance refuses: animating photos of people, scenes with real characters, portrait dynamics. If Seedance refused you on a person, try Kling first. More on model refusals in the article on animating a photo.
Versions and prices
| Version | Resolution | 6 s without sound | 6 s with sound | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kling v3.0 | 1080p | 71 tokens (~112 rub.) | 106 tokens (~168 rub.) | the final, maximum quality |
| Kling v3.0 | 720p | 53 tokens (~84 rub.) | 80 tokens (~126 rub.) | drafts and everyday tasks |
| Kling Video O1 | 720p | 5 s: 62 tokens (~98 rub.) | no sound | volume, simple scenes |
Kling Video O1 only does 5 or 10 seconds: 5 s cost 62 tokens (~98 rub.), 10 s cost 124 tokens (~196 rub.). This is not a public offer. KADR prices, October 2026.
The line used to have separate Pro and Standard versions. At the provider it is one Kling v3 model with a choice of quality, so KADR merged them into Kling v3.0: 720p corresponds to the former standard mode, 1080p to the former Pro. Moving to 1080p adds about a third to the price, sound another half.
New in the line: Kling O3 and Motion Control
In October 2026 two more Kling models appeared on KADR.
Kling O3 is the newer model of the O series, and unlike O1 it does sound and 1080p: 3 to 15 seconds, first and last frame, up to 7 reference images and editing of your own video. A 6-second clip costs 53 tokens at 720p without sound and 71 with sound (about 84 and 112 rubles), at 1080p 72 and 94 tokens (about 114 and 149 rubles). With sound it is a little cheaper than Kling v3.0.
Kling Motion Control transfers movement: you upload a photo of a person and a video 3 to 30 seconds long, and the person from the photo repeats the movements from the video, for example a dance. At 720p it costs about 13.4 tokens per second: 10 seconds come to 134 tokens (about 212 rubles).
Resolution and drafts
The minimum resolution on Kling is 720p; there is no full 480p like the Seedance line has. So there will be no really cheap drafts.
But 720p is still noticeably cheaper than 1080p, and it is convenient for tuning the prompt, checking camera movement and composition, then rendering the final at 1080p.
Where Kling is strong
Camera movement. Its signature. Kling makes orbits, complex tracking shots and dynamic push-ins more expressive than most. If you need a striking camera shot, this is the one.
People. Human figures and faces come out convincingly, and the model does not refuse on real faces.
Dynamics. Motion in frame, action, energetic scenes.
Where to think twice
For long scenes, mind the segment length: Kling holds up to 15 seconds like Seedance 2.0, but if your segments are shorter, a minute of finished video will need more seams. Per-minute costs for every model are in the article on how much a minute of AI video costs.
If one hero repeats across your clip, be sure to read about character consistency: without references no model will hold the face.
Which version to take
Video O1 if you need volume, no sound, the scenes are simple and a 5 or 10 second clip is enough.
Kling v3.0 at 720p for drafts and everyday tasks. If you need sound, Kling O3 at 720p is a little cheaper: 71 tokens for 6 seconds.
Kling v3.0 at 1080p for the final, close-ups and anything where quality is critical.

In short
Kling v3 is Kuaishou’s model for camera and people. Two versions: Kling v3.0 from 53 to 106 tokens per 6-second clip at 720p or 1080p, and Video O1 at 720p without sound: 62 tokens for 5 seconds or 124 for 10. The main advantage over Seedance is that Kling handles real faces normally, so it is your pick for animating photos of people and portrait dynamics. The minimum resolution is 720p: run drafts there and the final at 1080p. New in the line: Kling O3 with sound up to 1080p (from 53 tokens per 6 seconds) and Kling Motion Control for transferring movement from your video to a photo.
